A leading industry body has urged the newly formed state government to introduce sweeping reforms in the construction and infrastructure sector. The key demands include the establishment of a dedicated ministry for construction and the introduction of faster project approvals through a unified single-window clearance system.

In a formal communication addressed to the head of the state administration, the association congratulated the new government and expressed confidence that the administration would promote progressive governance, transparency, industrial growth, and accelerated infrastructure development across the state.

Highlighting persistent concerns faced by the construction industry, the association emphasized the need for greater transparency in government tendering processes. It recommended that tenders be issued only after proper financial sanction and confirmed allocation of funds to avoid project delays and cost overruns.

The association further called on the government to streamline procedures for granting project extensions, ensure uniform interpretation and implementation of rules across departments, and expedite approvals related to sewage, water supply, and other essential utility infrastructure. According to the representation, these reforms are critical to improving efficiency, reducing delays, and strengthening the overall construction and infrastructure ecosystem.
